Project Description

GLORP: Generic Lightweight Object Relational Persistence. Glorp is an object-relational database mapping library similar to TopLink, Apple EOF, Hibernate, Cayenne and so on. Queries can be written using Smalltalk block syntax. The Squeak version of Glorp currently only works with PostgreSQL and you will need to install the PostgreSQL client before installing Glorp. There are several related projects using Glorp for data persistency including adaptations for EOF (EOGlorp), and Magritte (MagritteGlorp). THERE ARE SEVERAL PIECES TO INSTALL. If you are installing into Squeak 3.7 or earlier, you MUST first install Glorp37Compat. If installing into 3.8 or later DO NOT INSTALL Glorp37Compat. Glorp requires the PostgreSQL client. Install that before any other Glorp components. Once the prerequisites are done install: GlorpPreload Glorp GlorpPostload GlorpTests GlorpTestsPostload
